 ECOPAK™

ECOPAK™ - 20 Bottles to Sheet

ECOPAK™ is the world’s only durable and waterproof fabric made from 100% recycled polyester fiber and film. Each yard upcycles about 20 plastic water bottles into durable technical textiles.

Based on 35 years of weaving, coating and laminating experience, ECOPAK™ fabric lasts longer, absorbs 80% less moisture, and has better UV resistance and color retention than traditional laminated nylon.

These materials are laminated into composite fabrics, using a proprietary adhesive, which does not contain toxic solvents or VOC’s (Volatile Organic Compounds). Others laminate with solvent-based adhesives necessitating energy-intensive drying ovens.

As our in-house solution to resilient fabric, our canvas comes from decommissioned military tents. Through donations and special recycling programs we are able to secure this super durable material to make our incredibly long-lasting bags.

 

Upcycled Rubber Tires & Inner Tubes

Vulcanized Rubber Tires

We trust our lives to Vulcanized rubber every time we step into a vehicle due to many of its durability characteristics. It also is a terribly difficult manmade item to dispose of. 

Our rubber comes from buses, trucks, cars and motorcycles. If not intercepted by our designers these rubber parts would end up in a landfill or burned causing irreparable and long lasting damage to our planet. 

 

Titanium

The 22nd element is also the 9th most abundant on this planet. As many of us know, it is a very durable metal. It has high popularity in engineering applications because this metal is corrosion-resistant and also very strong and very light. It is 40% lighter than steel but as strong as high-strength steel. Typically you will find Titanium being used by the Aerospace and Military industries for obvious reasons, but if they can use it why can't we? 

 

Tyvek® (HDPE)

The Wonders of Tyvek®. You may not realize it, but Tyvek® is a remarkable material that you've likely encountered before. Those plastic sheets that safeguard buildings during construction? They're typically made of Flashspun HDPE or more commonly known as Tyvek®. This versatile material possesses numerous properties that make it superior to other similar materials: it's incredibly strong, tear-resistant, waterproof, and retains its strength even when wet. Plus, it can be easily sterilized and is 100% recyclable and used for packaging that maintains sterility for extended periods of time. As a result, Tyvek® has been employed in a vast range of applications for over six decades.

Silicone

Derived from abundantly available Silica and Oxygen, silicone is arguably one of human's modern marvels. Silicone is an extremely soft, durable, highly heat-resistant and non-toxic material.

We even eat silicone (technically) as it is an accepted material by the FDA for use in the Food & Meal Preparation industries (we don't actually bite it and eat it, but on the microscopic level you may ingest particles which is what the FDA measures). 

For our products, Silicone is the responsible solution for anything which requires softness, durability, and non-toxicity.
